Education Coordinator Assistant

This volunteer assists KCSC staff with paperwork: making copies, mailings, data entry, filing, collating, laminating nametags. Sometimes this volunteer might be asked to make shopping trips for supplies or even drive their own vehicle and be reimbursed for mileage to the Wichita airport and back.

Education Helper

This volunteer assists Space Science Educators with "behind-the scenes" elements of school programs and camps. Prep work like counting, sorting, punching, collating, cutting or gluing. Weekday availability on somewhat of a routine schedule is preferred of this position.

Probes Assistant

This volunteer assists KCSC staff as needed on Saturday with groups earning specified badges. They check in scouts, give museum tours, and assist with activities like rocket construction and launching.

Investigate Space Helper

This volunteer helps with Investigate Space, an summer camp program for children entering 2-4 grades. They assist KCSC staff with hands-on activities and assembly. Anyone wishing to volunteer for this program is encouraged to pick half days they can work for an entire week. This area of volunteering is especially suitable for people who work full-time and are unable to commit to a weekly volunteer slot.

Takeoff Helper

This volunteer helps with Takeoff, a summer camp program for children entering grades 3-5. They assist KCSC staff with hands-on activities and assembly. Anyone wishing to volunteer for this program is encouraged to pick half days they can work for an entire week. This area of volunteering is especially suitable for people who work full-time and are unable to commit to a weekly volunteer slot.
