Boy Scout Programs Boy Scout Space Exploration Merit Badge: Regular Pricing (November - May) $40 scout / $20 adult. Discount Pricing (June - October) $30 scout / $15 adult Start your day with live rocket science demonstrations in Dr. Goddard's lab. Then expand your knowledge of the space program with a guided tour of the Hall of Space Museum. You'll also learn all about what's happening in the International Space Station and the correct way to build model rockets. Highlights of the day include an IMAX movie and launching your rocket two times. It's a fun way to earn your Space Exploration Merit Badge. Boy Scout Astronomy Merit Badge: Regular Pricing (November - May) $40 scout / $20 adult Discount Pricing (August - October) $30 scout / $15 adult Your Saturday starts at noon with a pizza party. Then prepare to learn about the moon, planets and stars. In the afternoon, you’ll go outside to observe the star closest to us the Sun. After dinner and dark, we’ll set up telescopes and observe the night sky in all its glory. The day also includes a tour of the Hall of Space Museum and a Planetarium and IMAX® show. Boy Scout Aviation/Weather Overnight Merit Badge: Regular Pricing (November - May) $65 scout ($90 with flight) / $25 adult Discount Pricing (August - October) $50 scout / $20 adult Our newest program will take you sky high! Stay with us overnight to earn your Aviation and Weather Merit Badge. We’ll learn how to plan a flight and spend time on the Cosmosphere’s F-16 and T-38 flight simulators. We’ll also go to the airport for on-sight tours and an optional flight around the city in a real airplane. Lunch, dinner, and breakfast are included. Advanced Space Exploration Program: Discount Pricing (August - October) $35 scout / $15 adult After Scouts have attained the Space Exploration Merit Badge, they may return to do our Advanced Space Exploration Program. Scouts attending will experience robotics, building and launching a more advanced rocket, and will use some of the simulators used in the Future Astronaut Training Program, including the 4-G centrifuge, multi-axis trainer, stress testing, Apollo command module, Soyuz trainer, manned maneuvering unit, and the T-38 and F-16 flight simulators. Simulator use is based on availability. This full day of fun includes lunch and a souvenir patch.

Cub Scout Overnighter:
Regular Pricing (November - May) $65 scout/ $25 adultDiscount Pricing (August - October) $50 scout / $20 adult Our overnighter just for Cub Scouts and their leaders is sure to be as fun as it is educational! Boys will sample some of our astronaut training simulators, construct and launch air rockets, visit Dr. Goddard’s lab, watch an IMAX® movie, tour the Hall of Space museum, and perform hands-on experiments. Participants will earn the Scientist activity pin and the Science and Astronomy belt loops. Dinner and a continental breakfast are provided. Girl Scout Programs Girl Scouts have the opportunity to earn their Science Sleuth and Aerospace badge. Cadettes and Senior girls can earn their Space Exploration badge. All Girl Scouts will take home a souvenir Cosmosphere participation patch. Junior Girl Scout Science Sleuth Badge:Regular Pricing (November - May) $28 scout/ $18 adult Discount Pricing (August - October) $23 scout / $12 adult New Activities and Format! Hands-on activities held throughout the Cosmosphere will keep the troops energy level high as they spend the day earning their Science Sleuth Badge. Girl Scouts will make a kaleidoscope, crystals, and robots, while learning about sound and vibration, oxidation, the light spectrum, and other related topics in this exciting new program that includes an IMAX® feature, and time in Dr. Goddard’s Lab, the Planetarium, and the Hall of Space Museum. Girls 11-17 Space Exploration: Regular Pricing (November - May) $28 student/ $18 adult Discount Pricing (August - October) $23 scout / $12 adult The future of Space Exploration rests in the hands of our young explorers. Girls will take the initiative in educating themselves about the next step in space exploration and will tour the Cosmosphere’s world-renowned Hall of Space Museum, discover careers in the space exploration industry, and earn the Space Exploration interest badge. Girl's Night Out Overnighter: Discount Pricing (August - October) $50 scout / $20 adult This program is centered around teaching young women about aviation and spaceflight. The Girls Night Out Special Overnight is a jam-packed experience filled with hands-on activities, rocketry, robotics, and simulator rotations! Simulator use is based on availability and can include the 4-G centrifuge, multi-axis trainer, stress testing, Apollo command module, Soyuz trainer, manned maneuvering unit, and the T-38 and F-16 flight simulators. The Girls Night Out program allows each student to earn the Sky Search and the Aerospace merit badges. Dinner and breakfast are included. NEW! Girl Scouts Adventures in Aviation Aerospace Badge: Regular Pricing (November - May) $28 scout ($53 with flight) / $18 adult Discount Pricing (August - October) $23 scout ($48 with flight) / $12 adult Introduce your Girl Scouts to the basics of aviation and give them a chance to ride in an airplane! Watch their excitement build as they create and test fly their own airplanes and kites, go up in the Control Tower to see how air traffic controllers operate, learn about aerodynamics, and discover the stories of heroic women like Amelia Earhart and Patty Wagstaff.
