Start your day with live rocket science demonstrations
in Dr. Goddard's lab. Then expand your knowledge of the space program
with a guided tour of the Hall of Space Museum. You'll also learn all
about what's happening in the International Space Station and the correct
way to build model rockets. Highlights of the day include an IMAX movie
and launching your rocket two times. It's a fun way to earn your Space
Exploration Merit Badge. Lunch is provided
Astronomy Merit Badge:

Get
prepared to learn about the moon, planets and stars. In the afternoon,
you’ll go outside to observe the star closest to us the
Sun. After dinner and dark, we’ll set up telescopes and observe
the night sky in all its glory. The day also includes a tour of the
Hall of Space Museum and a Planetarium and IMAX® show. Start times
will vary seasonally. Dinner is provided.
Aviation Merit Badge:

Spend your day with us and earn your Aviation Merit Badge! We’ll learn how to do flight planning and spend time on the Cosmosphere’s F-16 flight simulator. We’ll also spend the afternoon at the airport finishing requirements and you'll have a chance for an optional flight around the city in a real airplane. Lunch is provided.
Advanced Space Exploration Program:

Discount Pricing (June - October) $35 scout / $15 adult
After Scouts
have attained the Space Exploration Merit Badge, they may return to
do our Advanced Space Exploration Program. Scouts attending will experience
robotics, building and launching a more advanced rocket, and will
use some of the simulators used in the Future Astronaut Training Program,
including the 4-G centrifuge, multi-axis trainer, stress testing,
Apollo command module, and Soyuz trainers. Simulator use is based
on availability. This full day of fun includes lunch and a souvenir
patch.
