Field Trip Planning

Justice Planetarium

The Cosmosphere's planetarium brings the night sky to life with multimedia presentations designed specifically to introduce you and your students to the wonders of our universe.

For your next field trip, choose one of many entertaining planetarium shows:

The Night Sky - Live!

Students learn about the stars, constellations, reasons for the seasons, and Earth's dance partner, the Moon. The program always ends with a peek of that night's sky scene and upcoming celestial events. (Age-adjusted for your class.)

Solar System

Get up to date with what’s happening in our little neck of the cosmic woods in this brand-new show about the “eight” planets and the rest of the solar system. The presentation includes an explanation of how we went from nine planets to eight and a look at the over-all structure of our solar system.

We Really Did Go to the Moon

This special planetarium show answers all the conspiracy theorists' charges regarding the American Moon landings in a stirring, fact-filled, 35-minute movie tribute to the Apollo program.

Hubble Vision

Explore the cosmos with the Hubble Space Telescope, an extraordinary orbiting observatory that has revolutionized our study of astronomy. This show is packed with breathtaking images taken by Hubble, from our own solar system to the limits of the observable universe.

Beneath a Kansas Sky

Connect with the past while you learn about the constellations and the timeless myths and legends that accompany them. From gods and goddesses to heroes and monsters, stories thousands of years old will come alive beneath a Kansas sky.

Comment on Conduct
Help assure that your students' field trip is a productive, enriching experience. Adequate adult supervision of students is required at all times.
