Field Trip Planning

Discovery Classroom

Allow the Cosmosphere’s space science educators to entertain and educate your students with one of many fun, educational classroom presentations.

Robotics Challenge - Grades 6 & Up (Limited to 35 Students or less)

Students learn the basics of robotic missions, work together to design their own robot, then manage the robot’s performance on a simulated Martian surface.

Living in Space

Eating, sleeping, and dressing are all a challenge when in space. Learn how ordinary tasks, personal space, and recreational activities change aboard the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station.

Dr. Goddard's Lab

Placed in a theatrical setting, this live rocket demonstration show highlights early experiments with solid and liquid-fueled rocket engines. (Recommended for all ages)

Ice Cream Maker (Limited to 30 Students or less)

When ordinary ingredients like cream, vanilla and sugar combine with liquid oxygen, what do you get? Students watch a space science educator make instant ice cream before tasting it themselves. Students also learn about the special problems encountered by astronauts living in space.

Comment on Conduct
Help assure that your students' field trips are a productive, enriching experience. Adequate adult supervision of students is required at all times.
