In the Cosmosphere's Smithsonian-affiliated museum, immerse your students in the story of the Space Race from both the U.S. and Russian perspectives. See some of the country's most significant space artifacts, including the actual Apollo 13 command module Odyssey, V-1 and V-2 German bombs, sputniks 1 and 2, Gemini Titan rocket and much more. An optional guided tour or scavenger hunt is available for an additional $2.00 per student, provided by trained museum docents. Tours are age-adjusted for your class.
Dr. Goddard's Lab
Placed in a theatrical setting, this live rocket demonstration show highlights early experiments with solid and liquid-fueled rocket engines. In a controlled environment, students witness explosions, failed launches, the wonders of liquid oxygen and more. Recommended for all ages.

Astronomy During the Day
Students have an entire day of structured learning and fun. Make solar system key chains, see the planetarium show "The Night Sky Live," learn the phases of the Moon and much more. Appropriate for grades K-8 with material adapted to each age group. Lunches are pizza and soda only for groups of over 20. Groups under 20 may order off our menu at the standard price. Add a IMAX film for an additional $3.00.
