Residential Camp For
students entering at least Grade 10 and completed Space: 301
Location: Kennedy Space Center (Florida)
Travel to Kennedy Space Center, Florida, for an in-depth tour of America’s spaceport
Experience various hands-on activities developed by Space Florida
Build a payload for a weather balloon and launch it up to 80,000 feet
Tour Cape Canaveral and historic launch sites
Discuss NASA’s future with Space Florida educators
Tour the United Launch Alliance facilities
Extra Credit: Visit Florida’s Cocoa Beach
Tuition is $1950* and includes airfare to Kennedy Space Center. Transportation between Wichita Mid-Continent Airport and the Cosmosphere is available for a fee. Space: 301 is a prerequisite for this program and the student must be entering at least 10th grade. *Due to travel costs this price may increase. Final tuition will be set by March 1, 2011.
