Future Astronaut Training Program

FATP 4.0
7-Day Residential Camp
For students entering Grade 10+ and who have completed FATP 3.0
Location: Kennedy Space Center (Florida)

  • Travel to Kennedy Space Center, Florida, for an in-depth tour of America’s spaceport
  • Experience various hands-on activities developed by Space Florida
  • Build a payload for a weather balloon and launch it up to 80,000 feet
  • Tour Cape Canaveral and historic launch sites
  • Hear a program briefing on NASA Constellation Program
  • Extra Credit: Visit Florida’s Cocoa Beach

Tuition is $1895* and includes airfare to Kennedy Space Center. Transportation between Wichita Mid-Continent Airport and the Cosmosphere is available for a fee. FATP 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 are prerequisites for this program and the student must be entering at least 10th grade. *Due to travel costs this price may increase. Final tuition will be set by March 1, 2010.
