2.0 6-Day Residential
Camp For
students entering Grade 8+ and who have completed FATP 1.0
Location: Kansas Cosmosphere
and Space Center
Learn SCUBA basics and train in underwater exercises similar to those performed by astronauts in the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory at Johnson Space Center
Participate in teamwork training with a dynamic ropes course that features a 30-foot climbing wall
Fly a demanding and problematic shuttle mission in the Space Shuttle simulator Falcon
Experience advanced shuttle systems briefings
Complete advanced training on camp simulators: stress simulator, centrifuge, multi-axis trainer and Mission Control
Tuition is $795 and includes room, board and everything else campers need to enjoy their week. Transportation between Wichita Mid-Continent Airport and the Cosmosphere is available for a fee. FATP 1.0 is a prerequisite for this program and the student must be entering at least 8th grade.
