ICE (Intergenerational Camp Experience)
5-Day Residential Camp
For grandparents and their grandchildren

  • Learn about aerospace history, design and operation from a certified flight instructor
  • Take flight lessons aboard a Cessna 172
  • Train in the Cosmosphere's simulators: 4-G centrifuge, flight simulators, multi-axis trainer and Falcon Space Shuttle simulator
  • Build robots and rockets
  • Work in teams to Improve communication and problem-solving skills
  • Explore modern aircraft manufacturing on a tour of a local manufacturing facility in  Wichita, Kansas, the Air Capital City
  • Watch a movie in the Carey IMAX® Dome Theater
  • See a show in the Justice Planetarium
  • See a live science demonstration in Dr. Goddard's Lab

The Intergenerational Camp Experience program is for adults age 55+ and young learners ages 10-15. No more than 1 child per adult. The adult is responsible for supervision of the grandchild at all times.
